the_evolution_of_work Alejandro Melamed, HR consultant and General Manager at Humanize Consulting, stated that today’s world can be defined as VUCA: volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous; with "no room for planning." Thus, he recommends using the term "employability" instead of "employment", i.e. having "the possibility of working today, next year, within 5 or 10 years." Melamed remarked that, in the future, we will work "anywhere" not in specific places, and that organizations will need to be "agile, flexible" and "have a purpose."
Finally, he said that: "Most of us have
been taught to achieve goals. This is based on the mountain climber concept: those who want to achieve something and deal with mountain climbing by going up and up, which is fine. I believe that the next model will be the surfer model: those who see the waves come in and ride along them." Translated by ES Team.
